Patricia M. Angeles is currently a junior at Messiah College. Patricia is an Economic Development (BS) major and hopes to use what she has learned towards her passion to empower people through economic, urban, and community development. Serving is essential in the major and it is to Patricia as well, so she strives to do relational work with the people of a community to be able to build sustaining empowerment and enriching long-term affects. Patricia is currently working as an intern with an economic development public-private corporation, Harristown Enterprises Inc., in Downtown Harrisburg to revitalize the area, empower the people, and appeal others to join the community.
Patricia has also worked or is currently working at several departments in Messiah College such as treasurer of Multicultural Council, student office assistant in Office of Diversity Affairs, an admissions telecounselor of the Admissions Office, photographer for the Office of Marketing and Communications, and catering assistant with Dining Services.

I have presented at a symposium to educate others on the feminization of poverty and its effects on child development, spoke at a 6th day sexuality chapel pertaining to the prominent gender roles found in pop culture and music, worked with the Harrisburg Economic Empowerment Partnership through Collaboratory as Director of Financial Literacy Curriculum, which concentrates on economic empowerment for the Harrisburg/Allison Hill community, current treasurer of Multicultural Programs, and one of the top 4 Martin Scholars for Class of 2016.
