International House was designed to provide a warm and friendly environment where foreign and
U. S. students, scholars and interns can live and learn from one another through their everyday activities. The home-like atmosphere promotes international understanding, while cushioning the culture shock and language barriers typically experienced by new visitors. This unique residential experience provides the opportunity to explore and experience new lifestyles and viewpoints, preparing residents for success in the global economy.

 

I-2 works in partnership with CCI—Greenheart (a State Department designated Visa Sponsor of the Summer Work and Travel Program) and with foreign partners, regional employers and academic institutions matching international students with placements in regional high schools and colleges and local jobs and internships under a variety of U.S. State Department J-1 visa programs and F-1 student type visa programs.
